Happy International Women’s Day! Today is a day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievement of women. So I picked some of my favorite women who are doing just that to share with you. Would love to hear who some of your favorites are in the comment section below.
Kara Goldin, CEO of Hint Water
Here’s to a momprenuer who’s making us healthier . . . I’ve been a huge fan of Hint Water for as long as I can remember. Not only do I love the product, but I’m a huge fan of Kara as well. I honestly can’t think of a more impressive mompreneur. She started the business in her kitchen in 2004 trying to make her family healthier (You can watch more in this video HERE), and now Hint is worth over $30 million and is everywhere you look. Just in case you aren’t familiar, http://shrsl.com/tc8uHint Water has no preservatives, no calories, no sugar, yet tastes delicious. I encourage you to give it a try. If you don’t have it near you, you can order it by the case HERE.
Jennifer Meyer Maguire, CEO of Jennifer Meyer Jewelry
Here’s to a mompreneur who’s helping us look better . . . You might know her as Tobey Maguire’s wife, but you should know her as Jennifer Meyer, jewelry (and most recently shoe) designer. I had the pleasure of training Jen when I first moved to Los Angeles. As always, I was smitten by the fact that she was also a mom pursuing her dreams. Her passion for jewelry began when she was only six years old; her grandmother taught her how to make enamel jewelry. She started her own company in 2005, and her jewelry can now be seen on some of the biggest names in Hollywood. I’m not going to lie, her jewelry is definitely not cheap but it is stunning, and much of it is inspired by motherhood, which I love. As she told the LA Times, “‘We’re busy people . . . You wake up, you jump in the shower, you get breakfast ready, you get lunches ready, you take kids to school, you go to work, you pick your kids up, you put them to bed, you have dinner with your husband. Whatever it is, your jewelry doesn’t need to change.'” I love that. Jen also recently launched a shoe collection, which is a little more affordable and beyond adorable. Definitely check both out when you’re ready to splurge on yourself.
Chalene Johnson, Motivational Speaker, NY Times Best Selling Author & Fitness Celebrity
Here’s to a mompreneur who’s helping us do business better . . . My guess is you’ve seen Chalene on infomercials for her best-selling BeachBody programs, like Turbo Fire or PiYo. I’m not really a BeachBody person, so I never really followed her until Periscope launched and she was broadcasting all the time. I’ve learned so much from her as a businesswoman and have even invested in some of her academies. If you’re in need of some business advice, especially if you’re just starting out, I highly recommend looking around her site and at least signing up for her free 30 Day Push program.
Rebekah Borucki founder of BEXLIFE® and the BLISSED IN® Wellness Movement
Here’s to a mompreneur who’s helping us feel better about who we are . . . If you read my blog regularly, you know about Rebekah, A.K.A, Bex. She’s a mom of 5 who is also a TV host, meditation guide, author, speaker, birth doula, fitness and yoga instructor, and popular YouTuber. Whenever I’m finding it challenging to balance it all, I think of Bex. She’s also an amazing life and business coach, who has mentored me over the past few years, so if you’re looking for any of the above, you can find Bex HERE.
