3 Ways to Measure Your Kegel Strength

(This post is sponsored by Perifit. All opinions are my own.)

Kegels . . . kegels . . . kegels. Sure we talk about them, but do we actually do them?

I get you. They are boring and half the time you can’t even tell if you’re doing them right. Are you with me?

So here’s 3 ways you can tell if you’re doing your kegels correctly: (And if you need to know HOW to kegel, please go HERE.)

1. YOU GET TURNED ON.

Yes, for real. Often times, if you are kegeling correctly, you will turn yourself on. That’s why kegels are so great for sexual wellness. They will ultimately help you orgasm better and stronger.

2. THE BIRD GOES UP

Huh?  I know . . . let me explain. I recently tried Perifit. It’s a kegel exerciser that lets you control video games with your pelvic floor. Yes, that means by kegeling. When you kegel correctly, the bird flies up. When you relax it (or don’t kegel) it goes down. The games were designed by doctors to help you strengthen your pelvic floor. More than 1000 doctors already recommend it to combat incontinence, prolapse, and more. If you are pregnant or postpartum, I highly recommend this. Find out more about Perifit HERE.

3. GET FEEDBACK FROM A PELVIC FLOOR SPECIALIST

Insurance should cover you for this if you are experiencing issues like incontinence. Just a warning ahead of time, if you go see a pevlic floor specialist, it’s a very intimate experience. She will put her finger in your vagina to see how well you are kegeling. This is not a bad thing, but I just want you to be prepared ahead of time. More than likely, she will recommend exercises for you to do, and may even recommend trying something like Perifit.

Whether you are pregnant, thinking about getting pregnant, or have had a baby at some point in your life, I hope these recommendations will help you in your quest to strengthen your pelvic floor.
