3 Best Maternity Shorts for Beating the Heat!

I’m not really a shorts person but in this heat at 6 months pregnant, you better believe I am!

I’ve actually never been pregnant in the summer before, so I only had two pairs of maternity shorts from my previous pregnancies. But being in the midwest humidity all of July, had me feeling desperate. I’ve been super happy with my choices, so I thought I’d share three of the pairs of maternity shorts that are affordably priced, comfortable, and flattering.

1. Motherhood Maternity Under Belly Lounge Maternity Shorts

These are probably my favorite because they fall below the belly and are the loosest fitting. Plus, I feel like I’ll be able to wear them even when I’m not pregnant because they don’t have the big belly flap. FYI I don’t have the thinnest thighs in the world and they still are comfy and loose fitting. I bought the blue pair pictured above first on Amazon and then tried to buy more but they were sold out in my size (I’m 5’1” and wearing an XS.). I looked on Motherhood Maternity and they are having a massive sale of buy one get the second 70% off (until August 2, 2019) which means the 2nd pair was only $6! I just got a green and grey pair in the mail yesterday!

2. Indigo Blue Secret Fit Belly Roll Hem Maternity Shorts

I also really wanted another pair of denim maternity shorts (because they go with everything) and found these on Amazon but went over to Motherhood Maternity because they were buy one get one 50% off. I was a fan of the hem length and style, as well as the back pockets. If you can’t find your size at Motherhood Maternity (because a lot of styles are running out due to their sale), try Amazon.

3. Stitch Fix Maternity

My final rec is actually from my pregnancy with Kiera so I doubt they make the same pair anymore. I got them from a Stitch Fix box. My sister is a stylist at Stitch Fix so I told her exactly what I wanted. If you’ve never done StitchFix I highly recommend it, especially for finding good affordable maternity pieces. You can specify exactly what you want (maternity), how much you want to spend, and take surveys so your stylist can get to know your style. You keep what you want and return what you don’t. You can do it one time or as often as you like. Feel free to request my sister Martha Williams. She’s a mom of two so totally gets what it’s like to shop when you’re pregnant. Click HERE to get $25 off your first box.

Let me know if you have any other clothing or maternity requests!
