When I had my daughter a year ago, making it to that six-week mark postpartum, when I was free to exercise again, felt like a lifetime. To feel what it was like to work out again without a bump was all I could think about leading up to her birth (okay, it really just distracted me from, you know, the actual giving birth part). But as a mom to a newborn—one who thankfully slept through the night early on—losing the baby weight wasn’t as easy as I had imagined.
